SpoCom Anaheim 2014 - Coverage

Perhaps, it’s the highly successful model’s lounge, the raw entertainment, or highlighted celebrities of the YouTube generation. Social media has spawned a new breed of talent which typically would never have been discovered. The... see and share era is here and SpoCom capitalizes on it by promoting their event through reposts and models sharing their personalized hero cards.The SpoCom 2014 is an all-around entertainment event. There isn’t another show in SoCal that encompasses this. While some shows, focuses solely on the automotive scene, trends, or a hodgepodge of the automotive scene, I feel the SpoCom show penetrates the core of this generation.Front and center are the cars, followed by the famous model’s lounge, the bikini show, go-go dance off, and a dance competition.The cars and vendors have always been the core of SpoCom, teams and individuals proudly display their works of art for everyone to admire.One team in particular is R-Rydes, through the years they have developed the perfect combination of individuals to capture the attention of spectators.

LT Motorwerks has made a big impact this year in the show circuit with their AirREX equipped rides.
TWC is another team that has always had class, style, and clean rides. One, is this 23 window samba bus. In the air-cooled VW community the 23 window is IT. They are as rare as they come - in any form, even rusted. To see one completely restored and displayed at SpoCom was a treat, at least for me. I am glad others felt the same as it won numerous awards.
Toyo Tires had a stable of very fresh rides including the Bulletproof FR-S with a Varis Widebody kit.
Rarely without a crowd surrounding it was this very clean Hakosuka by Roy of SquadOne.
One of the memorable cars is this pair of 2002's from 2002 GarageWerks.
Hybrid use to be huge in the mid 2000's, they went through a dry spell for a while but this year at the SpoCom show they displayed some impressive rides.
It's also great to see individuals attend the events, like our good friend Glen from Long Beach Auto Tech.

For us... We continued to bring our trailer and truck set up, including Nilo's NSX.
Joining us was the one and only, Raelynn.
It was good to see Chaba at the event.
Dianna Lushus was in attendance and was one of the go-go judges. She's looking as fit as ever!
It's always good to run into Gina Darling of La Lune Management. She was also the hostess for the go-go dance off. You can catch her elsewhere at all the Formula Drift events with Nitto Tires, and YouTube.

In closing, the crowd was kept smiling during the go-go dancing competition.Thank you to the SpoCom crew for the hospitality, it's very much appreciated. We really enjoy the event.
