Fast Cars and Faster Missiles: An Exotic Car Show

Fast Cars and Faster Missiles: An Exotic Car Show

It was just another day at the office as I sat at my desk checking emails. Just as I was about to take a break for lunch I heard a commercial on the radio about a car show coming up during the weekend. Of course, instead of eating my lunch I jumped right on it and started researching the upcoming show. After doing a bit of research I found out that it was another classic car show.  If you know me, you know I love cars – all types – but I have been to so many classic shows lately that I have seen all the cars from our small community. To me, a show is a show, and unless I have something else to do – I’m going. So, with that said, I researched a bit more to find out where and when it was taking place.Well, in doing so, I actually came across a post on ferrarichat.com about an entirely different show – an EXOTIC car show, on the same day. Without hesitation I started to read further and investigate the details. I noticed that the show was taking place at the Air Force Base….my first thought was ‘this is probably not open to the public’. Well, since I’ve never been to an exotic car show, I HAD to find out for sure because I could not pass up the opportunity.I emailed the author of the post, who also happens to be the director/advertising chairperson for the Ferrari Club of America, SW Region. After exchanging a few emails he advised me that the event was open to the public. YES!! So, of course, I HAD to go - no questions asked. It was an awesome event and the location was perfect. Unfortunately, I did not get to meet up with my new friend Jim from the Ferrari Club. However, I DID get to meet up with some very very seksi cars!! Now onto the fun part......Some of the world’s most desired cars were on display at Vandenberg Air Force Base’s Marshallia Ranch Golf Course. The event, dubbed “Fast Cars and Faster Missiles,” is a community service effort by the Southwest Division of the Ferrari Club of America, which includes 550 members from San Diego to San Luis Obispo.First, I’d like to share with you one of my favorite cars of the show – the Dodge Viper GTSThis car is beautiful all the way around….I love the plate too….it pretty much describes my reaction to the car!Another beautiful car on display was the Lotus EliseThe owner was so nice and really fun to talk to. As you can see, he was letting people sit in the car (myself included!)I was also very fond of this Lotus Exige SThis Lamborghini Diablo VT was awesome too!! This was the first time I got to see one in person.Beautiful Ferrari 360 ModenaClassic Ferrari 330 GTFerrari 308 GTSFerrari 355 F1 SpiderNash-Healey   TriumphThank you once again DaYUUM! for letting me contribute!
